the 4th winter on Bohai bay

Just try to figure out on my mind what I can put in this post today....Yeah the 4th winter since end of 2006 here, work on Conoco Phillips phase 2 drilling project, Bohai-Penglai Field, China Offshore.
Bohai-Penglai Field is located around north-east of China land, could be reach around 30 min by helicopter from Penglai or around 12hrs from Tanggu base by supply boat.
with 6 platforms are running (WHP-A to F) and still in progress to drill more and more Oil wells.

I've been working with rotation schedule 28-28 days on WHP-C platform since 2006 and it's make me feel this place like my home, surrounding with familiar and new faces come and go.
since 2006 this platform had drill his 1st well (C25 Cutting Re-injection well) with 55 oil well in plan, and now left 7 more wells to be drilled.

Talking about Winter out here is terrible cold when it came on it's climax time, like December to February, temperature could reach to -20C (that was last year), but this year is more better, -10 C is the worse so far...
For man who's came from tropical place, working on this type of climate is too hard, hand and feet freezing could feel nothing sometime...

You can see pic above showing the ice layer forming around platform.

But nothing is more interesting to see snowing come on the tip of my working helmet, all over become white.

well...I may still working this year on this place or may be move around to somewhere...hoping a new challenge with a new atmosphere...yeah I hope so...
